World Clean-Up Day is an annual social action aimed at combating the global waste problem. This year we teamed up with various organizations including JCI Uyo City, Youth Alive Foundation, Leo Club and Global Shapers Community Uyo Hub to clean-up the largest market in uyo metropolis – Akpan Andem Market.

Thankfully we had the support of the Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection And Waste Management Agency who supplied our teams with cleaning equipments and protective wear for the exercise – the agency also provided tractors to excavate the waste that was soiled and soggy from the rains thus difficult to evacuate by the clean-up crew.
